چکیده
Background: The evaluation of seroprotection rates against vaccine-preventable infectious diseases allows for the identification risk populations. HIV-exposed infants, even if not infected with HIV, have higher morbidity and mortality in comparison to unexposed counterparts. aim this study was compare specific IgG levels Haemophilus influenzae type-B (HiB), Hepatitis-B (HBV), Streptococcus pneumoniae (Spn) two groups infants (HIV-exposed HIV-unexposed) living Malawi. Methods: Blood samples from 62 49 HIV-exposed, uninfected (HEU), born women HIV 13 HIV-unexposed (HUU), were collected at 6 months, determined using ELISA tests. Results: antibody HiB, HBV, Spn similar groups. At six all HUU 81.6% HEU showed seroprotective while a percentage protection varying 80.6 84.6% observed HBV regardless exposure. Only 59.2% 69.2% three pathogens. Conclusions: These results indicate among but also suggest that consistent fraction received incomplete vaccinations. Strategies enforce participation immunization programs Malawi should be health priority.
